This Heirloom Vineyards Alcazar Castle Pinot Noir was produced from our best Adelaide Hills Vineyard whose clones and viticulture embody the very best in cutting edge but old school viticulture and winemaking. Hand tended vines, sorted bunch by bunch, naturally open fermented, basket-pressed and stored in well seasoned first use French oak barriques from bespoke coopers. This wine is a barrel selection of the very best.
This is a tightly layered wine: soft but ever-present tannins are long and they support deftly a stunning and complex facade of pure pinot primary flavours: from black berry fruits to cherry and wild strawberries, herbs, and lavender.
